EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) is a special therapeutic technique that can be a very powerful treatment for people who have experienced trauma or are struggling with other distressing conditions.

My own journey has shaped the compassion and openness I bring to working with others, as well as the big emotions we all face at different stages of life. Each phase brings its own challenges. Early on, we may seek support with relationships and choosing a partner. Later, we may need help navigating career pressures, fertility, parenting, ADHD, loss, anxiety, depression, or feeling overwhelmed by unexpected life events such as COVID.
Facing these challenges can be difficult, and feeling overwhelmed is a completely normal response. We all cope in different ways, and often it helps to talk things through in a safe, supportive space that quiets the mind and reduces overthinking. I am deeply passionate about mental health and supporting people through change.
I have worked as a counsellor in private practice for over 20 years. Since 2017, I have also been part of an executive team within a private medical practice, working collaboratively alongside a General Practitioner and Psychiatrist. I am an Accredited Member of the NCPS, NZAC and EMDR Accredited.

Sharing big emotions in a safe space.

The online discovery session takes 20 minutes. It will be a session to discover if, and how I can help you as an individual or as a couple.
These sessions are for people who, for whatever reason, do not find a regular, medium or long-term therapeutic commitment helpful or accessible.
The counselling sessions are done via Zoom. Each session lasts 45 minutes. Zoom allows you to have a face-to-face appointment from the comfort of your own home.
